My story....where to start?! When it comes down to it I am a wife, with 3 kids, a shopping addiction, and a heart after God.

Writing a bio is bittersweet for me. It is an honor to say that I am currently the sole owner of Shabby Addy, however there would not be a Shabby Addy without the contributions of my former business partner, and dearest friend, Samantha. The business started out from a friendship, a shared love, and a dream from God. Over the first year of business many things changed in Samantha's personal life and she felt it best to step away as a business partner. She still continues to provide support and is one of the greatest blessings to me.

It has always been my dream to open a store. In 7th grade my English teacher told our class to find what we love and make a career out of it; I decided I wanted to make a career out of shopping ( I know that sounds cheesy). At 17 and right out of high school, I attended FIDM and majored in Merchandise Marketing and Management. I managed a department in a well-known, high-end department store in the bay area for years, but finally called in quits when we moved to our current town (yes town- I don't even live in a city anymore!) and the commute became too much after I had my second baby.

Fall of 2011 I was given a CD series from Terri Savelle Foy about having a vision and accomplishing it. That was just the message I needed to hear to inspire me. Habakkuk 2:2 states “Write down the vision clearly on tablets,so that even a runner can read it" (CJB), and that is exactly what we did. After over a year of planning, saving, praying, and overcoming several roadblocks along the way, we opened our doors in March 2013. I know that I know this is a dream God has given me. It is not just about selling clothes, or having a boutique (which is definitely a perk!) but it is about inspiring others to pursuit their God-given dreams and to help other young entrepreneurs. I have BIG dreams in the works, and this is just the beginning. I am excited to see where else God is going to take me!

I enjoy shopping for my girls and hope you love what I have found as much as I do! I am always on the look out for something a little funky, a little sweet, and a little different. Although this is not primarily an e-commerce site, if there is ever something that you see on our website that you love, we can always take the order over the phone and ship it to wherever you are. If you ever drive through Turlock, we would love it if you came to visit!

In Love,
